Shot maxine last night in a very small room in the flat I get to use at the moment until studio is built, she is a lovely girl, and some of the shots I aint happy with due to shadow, but I might be able to use this shadow to aid the composition of the photo.
Anyway, feel free to comment, or adjust as necessary.
Cheers ....

Nice shots for a small studio. The main concerns for me is No.1 the backlight is too bright. If it was moved to the left it would have been better.
I like the movement you have tried to get on 2 and 3 but no. 3 has her hair over her eyes which spoils it.
I bet she is happy with them.

Hi Barbara, thanks for the comments. I am using CS2 aswell only.
Images were shot in RAW, then processed AS SHOT, with some contrasxt adjustments. Shot these with the S2, and the new Nikon 24-120 VR lens I just got.
Easternherp: THe backlight was pointing directly at her head from the back, was trying a new thing as never tried it before, if I had more room I could have moved it back a little, but it was about 1 foot from back of her head, but I like the effect, and so does Maxine... see below, I am sticking up a couple more below.
Thanks again

No.1 one of teh above looks very cold and watch the skirting board. No. I personally don't like the lighting coming up from below the subject. That type of lighting is usually from horror movies. I like the back light but again it could have been moved to the left slightly so as not to give so much of a hot spot.
Good PS work on no.3.

Hi Andrew
Light from below has come from a reflector, I shot this with one light only, couldnt help the skirting either, as its a fully furnished bedroom am shooting in :baldy: ....at the moment.

Steve,
What was the difference in lighting from the first set to the second as the second are all much colder.

Its maybe just processing mate, as the lighting never changed, apart from height if I placed model on the floor, it might be my mistakes during the RAW conversion into PS.

Steve, the last three are ALL OUTSTANDING! How did you process the #3 for such effect? Great Job!

WOW Igor, thanks for that .... I dont think they at the outstanding stage just yet ...
FOr the last image, it was good old diffuse glow filter across the image.
FILTER>DISTORT>DIFFUSE GLOW
Settings were:
Graininess = 6
Glow Amount = 10
Clear Amount = 15

Wonderful work, nice renditions. I'd suggest taking the healing brush and getting rid of/softening the dark area on her neck - I think it takes attention away from her beautiful face.
Kind regards,
Bill

Definitely FUN! I like the different effects too!
I'm not crazy about the shadow either, however while I'm learning and sorting this lighting stuff it's not near as easy to do as it is to say what's wrong as they move about :)
