Hi All,

It's been a while, here are two recent shots.

I used 3 flashes
Fuji S3 with Nikon 28 to 70 f2.8

As always, all comments are welcomed.

Cheers

Nicely done Denis, clean and colorful.
Would like to see a graduated backdrop of a lighter color, as another alternative.

Both very nice , sincere, relaxed portraits.
Well done.

Guiding people in their clothing selections really helps make a polished portrait. Ask them to be "bobsy twins" matching! your hair light is nice, but not quite enough, you lose the male's head into your bg. Sometimes if you can drag the shutter a little to pick some residual ambient light helps in the separation also.

Thanks to all for your comments

Serge I think I’m really starting to catch on to studio stuff. I purchased 2 new 9’ x 20’ backdrops a few weeks ago this black on for low-key stuff and a white one for high-key. The next purchase will be better lighting then an old masters style backdrop. Ahh if I only had more money and more space for a permanent studio.

Igor, believe it or not I only had a total of 5 minutes with each couple at a house party and I had about 30 other people causing all kinds of distractions. I am pretty pleased with the end result.

Mystie, I agree that clothing can be fun when you have a well-planned photo session but this was a spur of the moment impromptu shoot luckily I had my equipment in the car. I had a total of 45 minutes from set up to break down.

Cheers
Denis
