Me wonders if this could have been improved upon should I have had the S3 in time ???

2pm sunlight overhead, in the gardens of the hotel, only place to shoot that was sheltered from the wind.

Both nice, I think DR has been held in good margins...
Maybe reduce the contrast a bit in BW version?

I mean there's not much "overblacked" blacks and almost no "overwhite" whites :) :troutsmac

The S2 has handled the images well apart from the bluey green shot of the cake (the second one). Even with film you get whites burnt out and blacks that lose detail. You wouldn't have gained much from using the S3.
You could have helped yourself by standing the bride a little more in the shade so she didn't have that strong highlight on her face, but other than that they are fine.
