I hope you have their "model releases" :evilnyah:
Great candid, JP.
And I had thought ALL people in the West are always smiling! :D :D :D

P.S. I'm also wondering how people react on candids in your country? If the "subject" notes he/she's been taken candid of here, you 99% will get into trouble here... :hitother: :beat:

You did the right thing J-P, you responded to the moment, and captured a moment in time, there's a story there, and every viewer will read their own :righton:

Hi all ! Thanks for the comments !
Igor, of course i haven't had time to ask for a "model release", as the street-light went GREEN very fast, and in any case, i wouldn't want to ask them if i could photograph them before to shoot, as obviously they would have said "NO, LEAVE US ALONE !" ...and if ever they would agree, they would never look so natural, knowing that a camera was aimed at them ! ...that's why i don't beleive in "model release" ! I prefer to take the risk to steal an image !
I don't know the laws about shooting people in the street here in Switzerland, but i reckon someone might put me in deep s**t if that person sues me ! Knowing myself, i'm too "sarcastic" to only shoot people "normally nice and happy"... this doesn't moves me ! My tendancy is to shoot people with a "different" look, of showing strong feelings/emotions ! But, even when i shoot "weird" looking people, there's allways some "tenderness" in my mind !Of course, my "subject" are usually NOT at their advantage (?), so, if i asked them a model release", they would never accept !
OTOH, i don't know what was going on with them, or what happened to them/with them before, as obviously they (particularly her) don't look happy at all... Everybody can imagine everything/anything, and that's what counts for me: they're only a media to make viewers use their imagination !
Cheers,
J-P.

Great Image!
So much emotion. And not knowing what the driving force of their facial expressions is really does suck you in.
Great framing of them too.
