A simple test of auto fill D200 flash capabilites.
This sparrow was heavily sun-backlit, I poped up the on-board D200 flash and shot on all auto...
Pretty happy with result, the light looks well balanced to me.

By the way, the lens is pretty sharp, below is 1:1 crop :righton:

D200 + Sigma AF 180/2.8 macro.

Sold! I'm definitely going to get one of these D200's. The resolution of that camera is great.

What sort of distance and exposure was it. I wouln't have thought that the onboard flash would be strong enough to make any difference.

ISO200, f/5.6, 1/320
About 2-3 meters, quite enough for the on-board flash.

I would think that that would be on the limits for the onboard flash. It doesn't look like the fill flash did anything which is what it is supposed to look like but I would guess that it could have done with just a bit more. It would be good to see how an external nikon unit would have fared.
