I got my S2 out this afternoon, and the first shot I took showed the classic signs of CCD failure (purple/black smeared image). I quickly got into a bit of a state as I've just got a long-term contract starting on Monday, and the S2 was going to be my main camera.
I phoned Fuji, whose repair centre is about a mile from my home, and they told me to drop it in for repair. I explained that the repair was urgent, and was quoted five working days turnaround.
Anyway, the camera was booked into Fuji at 1.45pm. They phoned me at 4.50pm and told me it was ready for collection (CCD replaced free of charge).
3 hours and 5 minutes! Thats some fast turnaround eh?
One happy customer :righton:
