the only thing i would have done differently was shoot so the sewer cover (man hole) is not showing.

Hmm , not sure , it's a nice image but could be improved on .
I'd have straightened it out a bit it's leaning to the right a lot , trouble is with it in portrait , straightening and cropping is going to be impossible if you want to keep all the path in shot .
Then i'd have dodged and burnt in those clouds a bit more to dramatise the scene .
I think Kev that Havoc used that manhole to lead the eye in , and to show the age and character of the cottages , that works for me .
I'll try to show you what i mean .

I've just realised this in 'destinations' and not in the general photo's so it's not open for critique , for this i apologise if i've overstepped .
But i still feel a bit of post editing will improve this lovely scene a bit .
As i suspected straightening and cropping has lost the path and the end cottage , checking through the viewfinder or shooting in 'landscape and then cropping would cure this .(i normally shoot both 'landscape' and 'portrait' for a shot i'm not sure of)
But i'm pleased with the sky now .
Again i'm sorry if you did'nt want this shot played with .
Forgot to say i love the Dales , and don't mind a bit that you've pinched our title of the loviest county .
