Haven't used my metz 54-3 in over a year - for fill flash with S2
And I've forgotten the appropriate settings _ Metz used to have an online table with this info
Anyone refresh my memory?
If Metz is set to ttl- do I set cam to manual? And what flash mode?
Want to do some water, swimsuit shoots- and use the Mezt instead of a reflector for fill.

What's the best way to use this unit with S2,S3

I'm good with studio lighting -manual settings- but all this automation gives me a headache. Think I used -2 exp compensation- anyway what're your fave method to get the most out of this setup?

I've got the 54mz4i model and have the flash set in TTL and then use the camera to set how much flash compensation I want. It varies from -.5 to -3 stops depending on subject distance and lighting.
If you want to let the flash check the exposure then you set it to auto and the flash then reads the output but it will use the aperture that you have set on the camera. Or use manual and set the flash output to full, half or quarter power.
