Duck,
Your duckling is a cutie!
Explain how you use a Nikon Speedlight and studio strobes (Alien Bees?) together. Sync cords, slaves, wireless radio, good timing, wires, chance, etc. Get us inside the mind of a Duck when in the studio...
That looks like a good solid black background. I'd say it' snot paper, is it velvet, or what?
How about a ISO, camera settings report while you're at it.
Sorry to hound you so.:p

I used the SB-28 on a SC-17 cable, attached to my Fuji S2. I placed the SB-28 (w/Omni bounce diffuser) on the floor to my left, I placed the Alien Bee's Light to my right... No Sync Cord between the camera or Flash to the Alien Bees... firing off the SB-28, triggers the Alien Bees. Isnt Magic Wonderful.

Black Velvet... a non reflective material, and it works great!

I report the camera settings.. including the ISO... at 100

No problem, we are all here to learn, and how else do we learn except to ask questions... :D

I never tried using "snot paper" for backdrops, but you make it look easy, Duck!

I am sure that the fine writer that I is, would never stoop so low as to write "...it' snot paper..." ---- or wood eye?
A cow-orker pointed it out to me.:p

Tom,
I am kind of new here and very very junior, but reading all of this i am sure about at least one thing already: You are one funny guy
do us a favour: do not change your style. It is so much more fun reading very interesting and to the point information when it is wrapped in funny paper.
tata,
Eddie
