Running short on supplies of wine & tobacco we sailed from Portsmouth to Cherbourg on Friday afternoon and came back (well loaded) Saturday evening.
Here are a few shots to give a flavour of the area.....

Really like the old boat (with anchor in foreground) shot. That I would frame for my office!

The old boats anchored in the harbor is colorful and gives the feeling of the fishing town.

Thanks for these great shots.

Thanks Jim and Barbara,

Here's a map of the area for those in Southern UK who would find this a practical weekend trip. We stayed in a Cherbourg hotel, then went down the west coast to Portbail (old boat and church), crossed over to St Vaast la Hougue (lunch) on the east coast via St Sauveur le Vicomte (chateau) and returned via Barfleur (fishing boats).
My favourite shot from this trip is posted here - http://theswampbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17823
