Hey I'm not kidding she literally lives next door to me!
I'm just playing at the moment trying to figure out lighting for her and also what on earth will work on the 'web' instead of my monitor that I'm not about to change since its perfect for my printing :tongue2:
She's really sweet, wanted her pictures taken, so she cranked on the rap music in the studio and was dancing about...oh boy over 4gbs of images I guess I better get past these first two it could take awhile to edit these things! It was sort of fun though she's turn when I'd tell her to the babies don't do that!
Melody
OK it's NOT showing near the vibrancy in color on here :baldy:

Love all of them, Melody.
#1 : great crop,
#2: nice pose, though crop is too tight IMHO. Maybe no frame needed?
#3 Tesing and relaxed! :righton:
#4 Great boots (my wife bought exactly the same off ebay last year! ;) )
Great work overall!

Question Melody, what type of paper do you get them printed ... "gloss or luster ""?......Love the background..... Barbara

Lovely poses and a lovely lady. On my monitor (which is calibrated) they seem a little on the "bright" side... IMHO, if you correct the density levels, you will get a richer looking images, especially in the skin tones (I know, wedding photographer bias!)
Excellent photography!

Very well could be cropping has always been a challenge for me :( I'm fine sports but this people stuff, I've got a couple I can't decide I'll post those.
Hey I think she got hers off of e-bay too! She mentioned that or they were Roxy's or something. (good thing we were in the studio you can't tell it was well over 100degrees here yesterday  )

Thank you Dear! :D I had so much fun it was really different then the little babies and toddlers! She wants to come back today with more outfits she had a good time too.
Yeah she travels the same distance I do, about half a mile!   Yet we both are in Orange County a great deal as well, we go to the beach for outdoor shots this week too! (She's accomplished in soft ball and we're getting some of her playing catch etc.)

Thank you Barbara :)
Well I can print on either one, the gloss which I granted isn't supposed to be any different as it's the same profile for the 8.5x11 and 11x14 just doesn't seem as nice as the gloss that's on the roll. I've only printed luster from a roll never sheets. Most of the clients ask for the gloss honestly, although I just did a storyboard/collage 12 x 36 on luster in the studio and they are all commenting liking it. I think I'd like the first image here better on luster, it would look richer in my opinion, but hey it's theirs if they want gloss so be it.

OH you have so just created a MONSTER! I've honestly never played with the levels on this type of image, so a quick google check and I'm playing away.........BIG MISTAKE, HUGE, Now I'm gonna post a BUNCH more that way!  Well maybe they will be better who knows I might do it wrong! :p
BTW yeah they are 'bright' and very vibrant on my monitor as well, which is calibrated too, (I like bright though) but not too over the top. I didn't adjust the staturation or any such thing on these her skin truely is a bronze/gold and that literally GOLD color is accurate, amazing I'd never noticed. I did a test shot then looked on the computer after making the w/b adjustments etc. then turned to her and said let me see your eyes! They really show depending on the color she wears.
Off to find more play with the density level's and POST, if anyone gets bored it's all your fault! :haha: (well that sounds better then it being mine anyway :tongue2: )
Thanks again!

Ok trying the 'density' level's adjustment, this on needed just a 'tad' on the right side but it did change it!
So any better?
Uh I'll be back in few minutes with more for better compairison hehee!!! Well I did warn you!

What is this a 'tease' me day, the next one I chose, the levels bar has no room on either side for adjustments, OH great now I have to read what to do then
Well I can't decide on the crop on this one either.
I can sorta tell this is gonna be one of those days!

Last two, your all being 'spared' I'm sleepy just got a couple hours last night if that.
Here you go Igor, no frame but that's as wide or as much room as I've got from that angle on shots until I reshoot.
Thanks for the tips!

Beautiful images Melody.
It looks like you have a great studio setup (wish I did)
I also think a bit of PS tweaking would not go astray, seems to be highlights in the face area which could be corrected.Try Shadow/Highlight tool with small changes at 1st.Hope my advice helps.

Thanks Glen, the studio is new and I'm enjoying, well certain days I do anyway, others it frustrates me.
Well...gosh I've got to work on this and I'm not certain how tecnically to do it, Bryan mentioned yesterday that he thought a few were over exposed...
I converted them in raw, no blown highlights, I made no adjustments to the colors... the last few I did tweak a couple with the levels that Roel suggested. I know the color I have and what is showing on the web is quite different (I do everything in rgb as that is what I print in and I'm not changing to srgb just to post), but the color really isn't the issue as much as areas appearing hot??
I'll give it a go on a few to try and figure it out and if I can't maybe someone would take one and let me know exactly the changes made say so much in shadows or whatever.
Thanks for the input.
Melody
Edit: sorry I don't mean to say I can't work with the shadow/highlight I've done that a lot with my horse images...it's just thinking after getting my white balance right I'm going to be changing the skin tone too much? If that makes any sense!

Melody, I think this photo is right on. You've got some nice poses and a beautiful model. You're doing well with the "people stuff."

on the sitting one you could pump up the saturation a little and do a soft vignette... (circular marquee @ 250 feather, then inverse it, (ctrlshift I ) and then go to levels, and drag your middle (midtones) to the Right a little... bada bing. they are really nice, i like your light alot. :righton:
