Sitting in the middle of Kansas is a wet land/marsh land wildlife preserve called Quivira. One of the things good about my new position with my new firm is that I can sometimes drive near these areas when I travel and I stick a camera, tripod, lenses and even several cameras :). Unfortunately, I had to arrive at the Reserve around noon which meant harsh light. In any event, today's pictures. The first two are of Pelicans. Throughout the 8 1/2 miles, there must have been several thousand there. The third is of an egret in flight.
