Kentish beach's for Bilbo

Bob asked me if i had any ideas for a short family break by the sea down my way .
Now i owe Bob a big favour , i've been after a 18-200 for months and he kindly let me have his reservation as he did'nt need one now , it arrived this morning .
I know it's only a small thing but it would have been easy to just cancell and not go to the trouble of phoning them and changing it to my name , so a public thanks Bob .
As i can't link photo's to PM's i've stuck them in here to show.
Remember not all were taken in the summer , in fact most were in the early spring hence the empty beaches , but you'll get some idea .

Herne Bay
Joss Bay ,Ramsgate .
Ramsgate.
Broadstairs .
I also suggested Margate (Blackpool of the south) , but have'nt any shots .

Thanks Brian - it's good to know you got one eventually - now you need to come up to Oxford and try it out (and a pub or two!).

I like the idea of a donkey ride on the beach - not for me of course - it's legs would split 4 ways!

PS Bob all those with the exception of Joss bay have plentyof B&B's and hotels , but with the school holidays most will be booked , it'll be a balancing act to find one after the hols but before the season ends .

How can we have the warmest july on record and yet one of the coolest Augusts ??.
How can you say that? you've got the largest beaches i've ever seen from Southport up to Morcombe Bay . :troutsmac
