My first Canon "WOWs" :)

Yes, I mean it!
Test shoot at low-lighted room, no flash.
Canon 30D with 300mm f/4 USM IS and 1.4x Extender =420mm f/5.6
ISO800 gave me 1/20 sec. exposure at f/5.6 (wide open).

I shoot handheld , give a couple of seconds to VR (err... sorry, IS :) ) to get the picture stable, and shoot.

Reviewing produced TWO WOW's : first minimal noise at ISO800 (incredible for D2x, D200) and stunning sharpness coutesy of IS system...
Bravo, Canon :clap:

#2 1:1 crop.
NO POST PROCESSING except for slight USM on #1.

Glad you're happy with it Igor. If you processed the RAW's in PS, please try Capture One and you'll wow even more with even less noise.

I processed in RawShooter with ZERO noise supression. Wanted to check the actual noise coming from the sensor.
