Does anyone know of any websites where they sell lighting for studios that are built into a ceiling. The type that are on a track that can move around, and where you can move the lights around, up and down, etc.... I use my lighting on stands at the moment and I want to look into making the space I work in more flexible. The studio area I have isnt huge, so i'm looking at a room size system.

Bogan makes them I've seen others too on another site if I run across them I'll post, here's some descriptions from B & H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=NavBar&A=search&Q=&ci=1348

Wish I could use one, darn suspended ceilings, looked at a new builing yesterday eliminated it because of same sort of ceiling :(

Perfect, i'm getting some good ideas now, thanks Gil. With these systems do you have to reinforce the ceiling to take extra weight, or are they fairly lightweight systems?

You don't have to reinforce the ceilings; these systems weigh only a few kilo's, at least the one I've got (IFF = Bogen = Manfrotto). Of course you 've got to add the extra weight of the monoblocs.

Thanks Leen, if i'm correct is there also a minimum studio space requirement to use these systems effectively

The requiered studio space is pretty small. In my high street studio the total space is only 12x18'; usable however is only 9x11' and that is all. These rails however fit in nicely and save studio floor space.
