I am going to get the DigiPower - DPS-9000 and was just wondering if anyone have tried it yet?
If you don't know what it is, its a batterypack that hooks on underneath your camera and has a 7.6V output that is "cut to 5V" and fits in your AC cord thingy...
Pretty sweet thing...

I'm a bit late answering this Timo (just seen it while browsing)
Yes i imported one for my fuji 6800, and it worked fine , it also works well on the S2 , you've got to blue tack (or use something else)the 5 volt adaptor on .
Trouble is now i've got 4 sets of 2300 batteries i don't use the 9000 at all , charge it up sometimes but it just sits in the bottom of my camera bag doing nothing.
But if you've bought it by now you don't want to know this , thought i'd answer anyway.

Can't understand why yours don't work Timo. mine works fine ,you have to take out both sets of batteries and the adaptor a bit fiddly should be straight and not right angled. but it does stay in .
Have you bought a duff one ?.
The only reason i don't use mine much is that i've got all the AA power i need for a day's shooting now.

I bought the DPS-9000 because here in MN in the winter I was going through a lot of AAs - which wouldn't be a big problem since I've got 5 sets of rechargeables but changing the damn things when its 6 - 10 degrees out is a pain!
With the 9000 you can leave any and all of your batteries in the camera. Doesn't make any difference. Without the CR-123s you don't have the in-camera flash but that's usually no big deal...
With the 9000 I've been able to stay out as long as I can stand it and shoot hundreds of RAW images (fill up 4 or 5 1G microdrives) using an 80-400 VR lens without having to worry about battery failure.
I used a piece of self-adhesive velcro to attach the 5V adapter to the 9000.

I got a piece of paper warning me to take out the batteries because as it connects through the A/C jack point it discharges the batteries . but if yours works , no probs .

Hmmm,
I did hear some mixed reviews about the DPS-9000, and am thinking of getting an DPS-8100 instead. Anyone ever tried one of these?

I've just purchased a Digipower Dps-9000 battery and tried it on my S2. It's a great compact battery but it only powers the camera's functions. When I shoot an "ERR" comes up on the top LCD panel of the camera. I can review any images on my microdrive and change any and all functions while operating on this power source but there does not seem to be enough power to write to the CF card. I used the recommended DC converter because the pack is 7.2V and the camera operates at 5V. I tried the battery pack without the converter and the problem is no longer there. I'm a little weary about using this battery in this manner. I'm not sure if the camera will be negatively affected by direct 7.2V power. Any suggestions or advice?
I'm still waiting for a reply from DigiPower with regards to my problem.
Luis
PS. I tried putting the CR123's in when I first noticed the problem and this allowed me to shoot some frames but the "ERR" message came up after a few shots.
