Steve posted his last shot of '06 in color photos. How about a challenge of your last shot of the year?
Here is mine.
We had a family reunion in Carlsbad, CA. Outside of the condo was a pond and a golf course. This duck showed me his "end" and it was the last photo I took at the end of '06.
Let's see yours! (not your end!---your last photo of the end of the year!)

My last shot of 2006 was this bit of ice and snow on an antique farm machine. We took our two dachshunds out to a semi-rural area to let them run and exercise.

Mel, I love it.
I was a chemistry major in college and have been a bit of a nerd all my life but I love the iron oxide crystals on the farm machine and the water crystals on top of that. Totally different compounds displaying the same solid phase crystal formation.
I also like the muted colors and the composition. (I learned that word composition from Linda and Bryan and Melody)

happened on december 29th - which surprised me too when I come to think of it- (no more in three days?) - but then again, Im not the type to put much value into sentimental halfwitted celebrations and find it nothing to record ... wont ever watch them again... but here goes - a streak of light in nature, as I was driving by a lake... quick halt, down with the window, up with the cam and click click click...

At a late Christmas party on Dec 28 at our best friend's house.
It was so cute, I had to shoot it.
