I would normaly say 10 (A) but considering the lack of sand in the photo will be more like 6,66 :poke:

Good thing you live near the coast, Barbara!

The whole of the foreground is sand?

I can't comment on what your assignment is after, but I rather like this. The sky looks a slightly odd colour though?

Serge will be here later, he's recovering from his B-day. :friday: :woot:

Nice shot Barbara, but since this is an assignment maybe they wanted only sea, sand and clouds? Maybe pointing the shot out towards the sea? Just a thought, personally I like the hills in the shot. :righton:

Just saw this Barbara, ah Dave's optimistic :D

I think its a fine shot, cropping is very subjective, I am rather conventional.
Where you place the implied horizon can shift the focal point subtley, try a few options.

Love the saturated colors ... thats colours for Brits :p

:righton:

P.S. this would have been a lovely Pano situation, you have to give them a try :righton:

P.P.S. 9/10

Sorry, and I hate to say this, but something doesn't look right to me.

It looks like the clouds are right over a sunset, somewhere near center, with super saturated blue sky, but the bluffs are lit from the left with a very warm low light. The reflections on the slick wet sand (I presume) don't match the clouds. This looks like a combination of a few shots.
