I have recently bought an N6006 camera for the lens on it (nikkor 35-70 2.8) so for a real small price i bought the camera, didn't check anything, but the lens on my camera, at home I've noticed that the film door was having a broken latch, were can i find this latch, as I see it the actual latch is glued in place. BTW, we dot quite have a Nikon USA in Romania so i want more of a DIY job!

Is this the part you need?

My brother has (or had) a Nikon 6006. It broke but he still might have the remains. I am not sure what broke, but maybe the latch is still good. If he has it, I am sure I can get it to you.

Yeah thats the part, impressive price though! Thank you very much for your help!
Late edit!
One more thing Tom i always admired your impressive skills with photography-lighting-photoshop and ELECTRONICS, so i have a big question: Is there any way to get a battery pack to fit the N6006? I don't need it as a vertical grip but just a battery adapter so i can use AA instead of cr-p2.

Rekon,
Thanks for the flattery. I hope whatever skills I have help someone, and I am glad to get help from others, such as yourself, in this forum.
I do not know of any way to use AAs in the 6006 camera.
I think the 6006, along with the 5005, 4004, 2002, 2020, etc. have a reputation for being somewhat fragile. On the other hand, the N-8008 has a great reputation for reliabilty and capability. It used AA batteries, interchangeable finder screens, could accept various multi-function backs, I even had a Polaroid back for mine. I found the camera to be very sturdy.
The N6006 and 8008 cameras do not work with the latest lenses' autofocus systems (AF-S, HSM, etc.) If I were looking for a film camera, I would be looking at either an N-80 (cheap but reliable), or an F-100 (expensive and reliable).
I keep an N-80 around soley so I can use my 14mm on it. However, on my DSLRs, I can use my 12-24, which gives me equivalent of 18mm, which is almost always wide enough for my work.
The Nikkor 35-70mm f/2.8 lens is a solid, sharp, lens. I use mine frequently.

N80 is indeed a good camera, but i bought this as back-up for my N65 and because I've heard the lens is real good and the price was again real good, I've payed 120 usd for them. This is Romania and Cris can hold my story about incredible prices!
