Your fire trucks are way cooler than the ones we have in the UK !!!!

I simply love the perspective on the first photo and intrigued as to how you got the third photo alongside the fire truck.

I think it would also be beneficial to viewers if you could post the settings you used to get these shots. Would help people to learn I think.

Good shots mate ... thanks for sharing.

First one's my shooting, second Wayne's and the third is Timo's.

I used my Sigma EX 17-35mm, its a great lens to do these kind of shots with.

I handheld, over my head, ISO 160, 17mm, I do a lot of street photography so I have had a lot of practice, got lucky that there was a firetruck on the promenade in Venice Beach... Not a very common sight....
I think I put the image in a nother thread last night but i was kinda tiered, can't seem to find it now but that is fine...

I hope that helped, please ask specific, if you want more...

I havent managed to get one yet ... our FIre Service tends to be a little less used as they only really attend fires and major accidents, not for medical emergencies too.

Still, will try me best and see what I can come up with. There is actually still a running and opperational Green Goddess Fire Engine at the local station and they were used during the last major strike we had a couple of months back when the Army and Navy had to stand in for the Fire Service.

We're from all over this globe, are these the trucks we can manage in two days?

Gentlemen, start your engines.....................

......all you have to do is start a good medium size fire and let the neighbors call the local Fire Brigade when the smoke gets thick.

Wayne, why do you tell all the secrets?

They should be able to think of that on their own.:D

Don't worry Haggis, we'll all chip in. More then a 1000 members sofar, so you should be OK at 2 bucks a head.

Just be sure to start the fire in your neighbors back yard and not yours. Then when they call in the fire they will fine your neighbor. Just be sure it is the neighbor that you do not like. Besides just talking about it over the internet makes us guilty of conspiracy so what have you got to loose.

(Kids, please do not try this at home.)

Also I had some deep fried Haggis with a pint of Strongbow in Callendar last fall. Boy, was it ever good. There is also a pretty good Kabob resturant in Callendar, and I am wearing shoes that I bought in the Green Wellie Shop. Callendar is a mighty fine little town.

Sandman, I don't think this 'Simon says' is by any means restricted by time.

So take your time and set fire to somebody's backyard and have batteries charged.;)

This picture was taken around 1890 in Yuma, Arizona, USA. .... not by an S2. :) This was the first fire "engine" in Yuma.

And this is the first real firetruck in Yuma, Arizona. I believe this was taken around 1913.

No David, as your only a junior and i'm a senior member you give one to me.
Because i'm to lazy to go out and get my own.

I'm planning to come down to Portmouth one weekend in Nov , to reshoot the Victory, we could meet up if you like, P.M. me if your interested. If Steve in Pompey's interested as well ,he could pop the kettle on.
