S2 dead ????

good morning, my S2 decided to turn me down. It wont start; so I replaced both battery sets, tried the external power supply (whilst the Lithium batteries were inside) and it did not help. Then, I removed the AA battery set for a while, and also the Lithium battery set. Then, I left the Lithium battery set outside and - surprise surprise - it worked just on the AA set.

Then I tried to replace the Lithium batteries. As soon as the first one went passed a metal contact, the camera switched off. So, I believe that will be the same (even if I tried using a finger9 THEREFORE it wont be different even with new batteries. Can anyone help ????:surrender

Welcome to the forum:)
The slightest voltage drop on the CR126(lithiums) incapacitates the S2.
The camera should work with:
-AAs alone
-AAs and CR126 FULLY CHARGED
-Ac supply alone
-Ac supply and AAs
Using the AC supply with the CR126 will discharge them.
