I am new here on this forum, but it looks like a good place to get really good information. As an advanced amateur I can and will contribute wherever I think I can do some good.

This post is about a S2 color imbalance I had been struggling with and what I did about it. The camera had a noticeable greenish-yellow cast in areas that should have been neutral. Also, reds needed some desaturating, and it took alot of work in PS7 to get things right.

Got my Fuji S2 Pro back today from Digital Edison, the Fuji repair facility in New Jersey. They received it Monday Sept 29, and shipped it Thursday, 3 days later. I sent them a nice email remarking on the excellent repair and short turn-around time. The neutrals look neutral, not a sickly greenish-yellow-grey, and the other colors appear normal and not oversaturated. The tonality is also good. I'll give it a good test this weekend with some challanging lighting and skin tone, and try the raw mode again. Now I've got what I paid for! Any of you who find you have gawd-awful color as I did before, contact Fuji repair and send them some exif pictures as email attachments to show what is wrong. They were very cordial with me as I was with them, and that is important.

Umm...I have always been thinking that this is just the way it is with the s2 Pro, until now...I will probably go see Fuji Canada tomorrow! As it is gonna to rain for the next week or two anyway!

I get the same thing no matter how i custom set the wb. I use Photofles lights on white set mostly and still I have to do alot of adjustments in the raw file converter ex. I guess I'll give the fuji folks a call and find out what they have to say.

Thnks for posting the info jtheal:)
