So, what do you think? How do they look like compared (if you can say so) to the DsMk2?

I wouldn't even want to think about comparing them yet Billy. All I've seen are ISO800 and lower images. I'll say that the mark III's ISO 800 is very similar in noise to the Mark II from what I can recall.

I don't know why people don't just show it. Take it up to ISO3200 and 6400. It is what it is. The colors in these images look much more brilliant, but that's dependant on the converter used as you probably know already.

I'm hoping to get my hands on one before the end of the month. Nice dream, but I'm still pushing for it.

Resolving power of the lenses doesn't seem to be a major factor here either.

They look fine to me too but I have nothing to compare with.
The files are huge and clear and this is what I need since photo agencies ask for a minimum of 50mb per file.
You're getting one eh? Which one the D or the Ds?
I'll turn to Canon soon....

Well, you can always "trick" them and convert into a 16 bit color which will double the file size of any file. :)

I'm getting both. Just got the D yesterday, trying for a Ds before the 22nd of this month. Take a look under the wild life section, I posted a couple of D files last night....
