Last W/E I shot an NHRA drag race with my D200. Out of about 200 images, 2 or 3 could not be adjusted in any way in PhotoShop. The "Levels" adjustment showed a histogram that was very compressed (covered only about 10% of the range), and no levels adjustments could be made. Images before and after were fine.

Has anyone had this sort of problem?

Did you shot Raw?
We could get a better idea if we actualy saw the file. That does sound beyond strange.
Back to you!

Thanks for the reply, Gil. Unfortunately, I deleted the images...they were of white cars and were dark overall (?)...set on auto. I was shooting JPEG Fine, not RAW. No loss at this event since most of my photos were marginal, but it could cause an issue this W/E when I shoot the Petit Le Mans 10 hour race at Road Atlanta. Thanks again.

This happens to me sometimes. I tend to set set to Manual now which gives more control. I'm on my 2nd D200 body and their both completely different, how weird is that!

Shooting the Petit Le Mans...with over 500 images...I had 3 occurrences as I described above. Not bad, but I still don't get it. Why does the camera record that way?
