I bought one of these to allow me to send images straight to the computer whilst shooting in the studio. Months have gone by and I still canot make it work. I have tried contacting Nikon UK but there appears to be only one guy who knows anything about them and he is rarely there. Nothing on the internet it seems and no literature from Nikon either.
I can get it to log into the network but it cannot find the computer so I can store the images.

Help please!!!! If anyone knows how to set these things up.

Thanks everyone

Mike

I actually used a similar unit, the WT2, but I didn't own it. It was a fellow forum member's, and I haven't a clue how to set it up. It was certainly cool to be shooting in several locations around the arena and having the images sent to a server from the then-new D2x.

If I remember correctly from previous versions, you need to set up an FTP server on a machine on the network, create an FTP account on that FTP server and enter that information into the WT3 through the camera controls.

I've never used the Nikon version, but did set up a Canon one once and that was what had to happen.

Not only that, of course, you need to set up your wireless network settings into the WT3 of course.

Hi Mike,
I have a WT2....I think I might be the *fellow forum member* Tom was refering to. :tongue2:

Try this link.....http://www.pixagent.com/
This is a version that you must pay for, but there is a free version 1.2 under DL or support. This supposedly help get my WT2 going.

There was also something about getting the address in the camera correct too, with spaces or something.

Using the WT2 in studio set up was fine...but don't go too far....it gets REALLY snail slow transmitting even jpg files. Don't even bother trying to send images from the camera to the computer if you have something obstructing the line of site, between the two!!!!

If you need more help, we can try to dig up more explicit directions. You *should* be able to get all the help you need at that web site link.

HAVE FUN! :D
