I have been using supplied profiles for years but had never been that impressed so I bit the bullet and bought my own profiler.

WOW! what a difference, prints are actually the same as I see on screen now.

If anyone is interested I can do a profile for you at £10 per profile just PM me and I can email you the images you need to print and send back to me.

Always wondered about that too Andrew. Good to hear the $$ profiler works as advertised! I'm just using the old R800 for my small stuff at the moment.

Sounds like an offer that can't be refused tho... :righton:

I have an Epson 2100 for 3 years now... at the beginning, i had GREAT results on ILFORD GALERIE SMOOTH PEARL format A3+, but all of a sudden, i don't know why, i lost the settings and now, it's been more than a year that i haven't used it for photo printing: i still use it, though, to print A3 blueprints for my job !

I have downloaded the IGSPP9_EP2100_PSPPn.icc profile, but the results are nor good !!!

Do you think the one you get with your program would work better ?

Cheers,
J-P.

Definately JP. Printers change as they get older. I had changed to a bulk ink system and used their profiles but were never happy. Now I get what I see on screen.

My Epson R800 was rubbish on the Epson profiles (using Epson paper) - the prints had a very strong magenta cast. I had a custom profile made and the results were fantastic - definitely worth £10 (I paid £20 for mine)
