Compatability issues- Quantum 4 and 4i remotes.

I use a Quantum 4 transmitter on camera and 2 Quantum type4 receivers on CHNL 2 to trigger 2 individual flash heads remotely.That is, one on each flash head.
One type4 receiver has been destroyed.
Can I use a Quantum 4i receiver with chnl 2 to work along with type 4 trans and receiver also on chnl 2?

The answer is "Yes!" according to Quantums FAQs in their website http://www.qtm.com/

The answer is REALLY yes cause I got the 4i from B+H and it works with my old 4 trans and receiver.
It even takes AAs.
