Hello.
Can someone point me towards a good tutorial to calibrate my monitor / computer system (manually).

The best site you can visit for color management and printing workflow tutorials is Ian Lyon's Computer-Darkroom site.
Manually, you're stuck with Adobe Gamma (assuming you're using Photoshop). It can do a pretty good job with CRTs but should not be used with LCDs. If you want a better calibration, you'll need hardware/software from Colorvision, Monaco, or others.

Yo Timo!
Go to the link below. Jon Cone's Inkjet Mall is selling the Spyder Pro with Photocal for $149 after a $50 rebate. Normal retail is $234. Comes with Adobe Album too. A similar deal at DPReview has vanished. Deal good till 10/31/03 at Inkjet Mall.
There is also a good 14 page PDF there on monitor calibration and installing custom ICC's. Look under "tech support"
