Hi All,

I just started taking a few pictures and loaded finepix viewer on my G4 OS X The software works OK as far as starting up. However, When I connect to Camera with the PC I cant get anything to upload. I see the microdrive icon. I can see the images of the pictures in the folders and they are clearly marked jpeg. I keep getting error messages.

OS X automatically loads iphoto I tried it in that. These are fine jpeg. It cant read it in iphoto or finepix viewer.
Anybody had this experience?

I also started up in OS 9 and

I got the following message:

"Could not display DSCF0005.JPG because of an error. The number of the error is -36."
Is there a Fuji help line for problems like this?

Tony,

I find the FinePix viewer fairly user-unfriendly, but I can muddle through it. I have found it easier to drag the files from the CF Card icon on the desktop (Mac OS 9.2) directly to a folder on my hard drive. I then navigate FinePix Viewer to the hard drive's folder and view the images there. I use the FinePix viewer for showing slide shows (oh boy! ) and for identifying the image (by number) that I want to open in Photoshop.

I have found that when I unmount my CF Card from the desktop (drag to trash), it unmounts, then mounts about a second later, which then relaunches FinePix Viewer. In order to get get the card out, I need split-second timing.

On a Mac you don't have to use the camera software at all. When the microdrive (or camera) icon appears on the desktop double click on it. Navagate to the correct folder where you image are stored. Hit apple A which is a keyboard shortcut for select all. Click and hold the mouse, then drag it to a folder of your choice. The camera will then start downloading to your selected folder.
