If you mean software, I understand that the Hyper Utility software made by Fuji will not work with OSX but works just fine with OS9. Fuji is apparently working on a version suitable for OSX.

Will the OSX version be free?

I don't think so...why should it be free?
I ordered Hypertool at Fuji Belgium, and they told me it is backorder !!! Unbelievable. I also ordered an acdc power adaptor,
backorder also!!!
I think they should not call the Finepix S2 a "PRO" camera...
Professionals use to work with their cameras, and do not pass their time waiting for accessories...

I only say free b/c when you buy the USA package you recieve a full version of the hyper utility (ibelieve) and they say it is Mac compatable. That should include OSX which most pros I know are moving to if they have not already.

I have no knowledge of the time or cost of the OSX version of the Hyper Utility software. As far as it being free .... well, IMHO I would expect a free or very reasonable cost upgrade for registered users of the previous versions. That only seems fair.
As far as getting things for the camera, I haven't experienced any problems with supply, but then again we are in different markets, with different supply chains. If you truly are concerned about this complain; both in your country and directly to Fuji in Japan. In Canada at least customer service seems to be very important to Fuji.

FYI, In Canada you can buy the camera with or without the software, the difference is about $300 (cdn). So the software is neither free or included, you either buy it or you don't. This would benefit someone who buys more than one camera. As stated, it will run in OSX classic mode or in OS9. I do agree that I like both the Mac and the S2 - both wonderful machines.
