What's your experience regarding the workflow with Photoshop CS?

Does Photoshop CS keep the Exif info?
E.g. when converting a raw file into jpeg or even when converting raw to .psd and then to .jpeg?

Is it possible to extract the "navtive" jpeg (1440x960) directly from the raw files with Photshop CS?

Is it possible to directly convert a raw file into any format (jpeg any size) with manual raw-conversion adjustments or is it always necessary to first convert to the photoshop native format and then to do the resizing / file type conversion.

Thanks a lot
Stefan

I know CS has kept the EXIF info in all of my images, except when I merge two shots into one, then it dumps it. But, rightfully so.

As for converting from RAW to Photoshop to JPG? Don't quite think I understand that question. I mean, you open the RAW file with CS and process it. From there, you save to whatever format you like. It's not like the EX converter, convert to Tif, then open in Photoshop, then save in whatever format.

Sorry, my question was not clear enough.
Regarding the direct conversion from raw to jpeg. I'm looking after a batch processing. E.g. to quickly extract a fairly small jpeg. This allows for a much faster browsing, selection of possibly usable shots, sending them off in a mail etc.
Therefore my more precise question: Does PS CS support a batch conversion of raw into any format with even further conversions, mainly resizing and setting of the jpeg quality.

(So far I did it via Hyperutility LE (one batch to get tiffs) and IrfanView (2nd batch to get jpegs in any quality and format)

Thanks
Stefan
