I have been lurking for a little while here and have enjoyed the read on the limited occasions that have been available to me. But I wanted to pass on the very sad news to any members that knew Barry Thornton, the acclaimed BxW photographer and BxW darkroom specialist, has passed away.
I had the enjoyment of attending a number of Barrys hands-on darkroom seminars and his skill with film and developer was a joy and a wonder to behold. His book ' Elements ' was a marvel and Barry, his mastery and magic will be sadly missed and my condolences go to his wife and family.
Not an auspicious start to the forums but I do hope to contribute in the future and in a happier frame of mind. . . .
