I have just purchased an S2 Pro and am keen to aquire a suitable flashgun. From what I have read here the Metz flashes seem to have most votes. I am a little confused between the 54 MZ4N and the 54 MZ3N. Could someone please clarify this for me? Which would work best with the S2?

When whatever there is a chance to solve the tll-issue of the s2pro, then take a Metz with an SCA Adapter.
I think FujiFilm ignored the problem and wait for S3pro.
The S3pro i think, have an D-TTL mode which have all other manufacturers for digital SLR´s. Because it is difficult to handle the reflection of the surface of the CCD-sensor.
But i hope there is a chance to handle the problem of the s2pro over an special SCA-adpter like the KODAK SCA 3452, which is for DCS 660/760. an workaround, i think is to modify an SCA3402 for an non linear curve to correct the TTL-Exposure. The switch on the back can act as an curve-modifier. I contact METZ for this purpose, but they say the manufacturer must order a special adapter. An modifying of an NIKON SB-XX flash is not possible.

We have a SB80 on one S2 and a Metz 54MZ-4 on the other. The Metz is so much better we are getting a second Metz and keeping the SB as a backup flash. The Metz is more consistant than the SB80 by a bunch. I would have a hard time compairing the two after using the Metz the last couple weddings. I would suggest the Metz 10 to 1 over the Nikon.
