Doggonit Swampy, I guess I was a day late! I was gonna pick up a sweet looking Sigma 14mm on eBay today. I had been watching it for a day or two. I logged in this morning to see it was sold to someone with a username much like your username here. Snooze you lose! Congrats and let me know how it works out for you. :)

Man. That is TOO funny. I already sort of missed out on another lens (I'm not saying which!!!), so I figured, heck, it's quite a bit cheaper than B&H or anywhere else. Might as well just do it.

The 14mm I was using previously, well, I'm about to take it off my camera RIGHT now and give it back to the owner after about 2 months of borrowing.

I need to give him back another lens too that I'm looking to buy now (I knew I would have to buy it sooner or later, so much so, my Pelican hard case already has the foam cut out for it) Hahahaha).

Sorry Frank. BTW, talked to the seller on the phone this afternoon as well. He's an S2 owner and didn't know about this place. So, he knows now anyway.

I closed on another Sigma 14mm this morning! I think maybe a few buck cheaper than the other one. Ok, I'm not mad at you anymore. I'll let you know how it works out. :)

What are the chances that someone from the east coast, selling a lens, is being looked at by someone from the west coast and from Japan at the same time, both of us know each other from here, AND to top it all off, all three of us are S2 owners!

BTW, my 14mm is coming with an extended warranty. :P

I'm getting a blank warrenty card with mine. I don't really know what that means... without original recipt. Also, I just realized the guuy who I outbidded was Don65stang. We are all gonna need new alisis!!!

Blank warranty card? Probably gives you the standard warranty. I got my 14mm today. The extended warranty that came with it is for 7 years.

In fact, here's the first shot from the 14mm from tonight.

Orange County Skyline I guess you'd call it. Crystal Cathedral is out there, along with Angel Stadium (Edison Field), The Pond, Disneyland and the Anahiem Convention Center. Not that you can really make out any of them unless you really know the area. heh.

Very nice. Big cities are great for night light photography but wow. I hate that traffic! Of course, as cold and windy as it is today, I'd live there!

Linda - Not much traffic where I'm at. I mean, the two big freeways get clogged up during normal rush hour, but other than that, traffic is generally light in my area because I'm so far south of Los Angeles.

Warm weather? Man, it's been absolutely freezing here the past couple days. Few degrees below 70 during the day and 43 degrees at night! I tell ya. I may have to put the shorts away for the, uh, season. ;)
