Just a quick FYI for all of you using MB16s but also of general interest for the S2.
Hahnel now make 2350mAh AA rechargeables.

I got them (3 packs a 4pc) with the fan cooled cheapo-plastic charger PowerStation HSC -104.
I dunno whats wrong but the charge led never switches to green.
The package said something about 3,5h to fully charge and maintain load then (green led).
I don't have a test meter so i can't say if the charger fails to switch or there is some issue with the AA's.
Anyway, the batteries work fine but i can't say there is any noticeable difference to my Sanyo 2100's.
But if marketing calls, meet me at the shop.

I've bought two sets of Digipower 2,300Mah's and they work very well (loooong life between recharges)

A new observation today...
I've spent 1+ hour outside at about -3 °C, shooting 2 full 256MB Cards (~210 Images) with fair LCD usage.
Lot's of dynamic/cont. AF (action shots) and no Lithiums inserted.
The cam got quite cold, so i had troubles holding it with my bare hands (plastic gets slippy).
I expected i would need 2 sets of AA because of the fast power loss. Nope.
The Hahnel 2350 lastet all the time and just indicated low charge while transfering the data via Firewire (i only use cam as reader).
Compared to my Sanyo 2100s, the Hahnels showed to be very cold resistant. Indoors, i can't see a difference between those two brands.
 nice. 3 thumbs up.
