Andre - very nice .. I get the feeling of desolation/lonliness, yet some warmth from the tone you used.
Note ... with Andre's approval, I played around with producing a 'sketch' type rendition in PhotoShop ...here it is .. perhaps the lines are a bit dark...
Regards,
Bill

Andre - The photographer I ordered it thru has been a bit busy lately (and, he forgot to followup on the order - but, I forgive him - he is almost as old as I am!)...He is in New York early this week as one of his models was selected for a PlayBoy shoot! (based on photos he submitted. He won't do the actual shoot, but he was invited). Hopefully he has time to pick up my equipment, if not, I'll get it on my own. So, with any luck, I'll have it on Wednesday. (then I'll be able to change my Avitar! ...I am making some progress here however, I'm no longer a 'junior' member!)
Regards,
Bill

Andre,

Nice! The way the sky is a perfect backdrop for the church and the tree works for me. Did you print that one? I think the perfect contrast would look good printed.

Bill,

I used that effect in PS on a picture of my house. I like the effect a lot for certain pictures.

Hey Andre,

Great shot, I love the way the light and shadows played..... nice positioning of the church as well...

Worth to be placed in the wall....

Dennis

I'll bet this location is on your calendar for summer as well.

Thanks for the comments. :)

Yes, if I can find this town again I'll definitely go back. I was out driving for hours (just got a new car), and went through many small towns. I really don't remember where I took this.

I will try a print of this at my local photo outlet - maybe an 8x10.

I would have it printed as an 8 X 12. It should cost the same as an 8 X 10 plus you won't have to crop. You'll get the whole shot.

I've had a couple of photos printed at 8x12, and have had great difficulty finding frames/mattes to fit. Everyone has 8x10, but 8x12 are rare.

I agree, it's a pain in the neck to find 8 X 12 off the shelf. For your church shot it would be worth it to customize the frame and mat.
