To the best of my knowledge this is one of only two working windmills left in Kent , ironically this evening it was announced on the news, that last night during a bad storm the other one at chillingden had collapsed and was wrecked.
The figure in the door is a scarecrow .
I'm sure Anthonie can conjure up some other windmills.:D .

Thanks for your kind comments Gary, while i'm sure that there are other windmills in Kent , i THINK that this is now the last working one .
During the summer months the car park is full and there are always tripods about. as well as flour it also sells it's own tourist postcards.
It's situated between Canterbury and Margate in Kent in the little village of Sarre (pronounced sar).
I do plan another visit when i've got more time to photograph it properly .
