I am a new s2 owner and am lookin for information about lenses and if the focusing of the camera has any faults. Also anyone out there have opinions about using the in camera sharpening! It seems to me that it over sharpens and leaves an unsightly white line around contrasting tonalities. thanks, Ken

You might want to browse the lens & lens test forums first. The go to the general discussion & problem forums for some threads on focusing issues...
re focusing: I believe one item many do is to disable the closest subject priority on the CSM #7 & #8.

Check your in camera sharpening setting... I find "HARD" sharpening too harsh so I use "STD" sharpening. Many people here turn in camera sharpening "OFF" and do their sharpening in Photoshop.
I would encourage you to experiment with the different settings to see what works best for you.
Take care.
