As some of you know, the S2Pro.com website has been down, including the forums. Some of you have found your way to my site and have been posting away on the temporary forum I set up and know most of this already.
What happened. The webhosting company hosed the database for the forum in short. The database was pretty large, probably around 3 gigs. Shawn, the owner, did not have time or facilities to do backup's of the database due to the size and just plain old having a life like the rest of us. I applaud Shawn for what he's put together and everything he has done for the users. He has elected to step down after over a year and a half of managing the site and forums on his own time and his own money. Many, MANY thanks to Shawn for devoting his time and efforts into starting this family we've all grown to love like Crack. :D
The Plan:
I have decided to take over the site and forums and am currently working on getting it up and running to pretty much exactly the way it was before. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? It will be up temporarily on one of my own servers and connections until I can get other arrangements made (in the works right now) to house it in a higher speed proper datacenter which should happen in the next week or two, so bare with us.
There has been some discussions on what to change and add to this site and I am listening. Please, let me know if you think anything should be changed or added and it will be considered and put up to vote as well.
I will post more information on what happened exactly and what's going to happen with the data soon. So stay tuned and feel just as welcome here as you did before.
Thanks for following!

Thanks to Smunky and LindaG for helping to test out the new forums.
Current issues:
Email notifications are not working. Probably something to do with my other forum running on the same server. I'm dumb with PhP and the like, so I'll have to wait until my buddy becomes available to look at it. Until then, email notifications will not work for new posts, private messages or even emailing out your "password" for verification. So I'll have to turn that off temporarily.
The background at the top. I'm still looking for that to get rid of that big purple block as well.
Avatars are working, 100x100 pixels max size and it should be up to 45k now for the size, but try to be nice about it.
Everything seems to be working though. If you upload a pic that's too big, it has told me so when the file was 600k, but if I try and put up a 5 meg picture, it just posts the post without the picture and just doesn't say anything. Strange.
Anyway, about to open the gates... Have fun and enjoy!

Bryan,
I dunno if it works with you but changing body bgcolor="#666696" to body bgcolor="#FBFBFB" would get rid of that PURPLE bg....

Igor. Thanks. Looking for the file to change that line now. But I could swear it was a tiled graphic that was up there before.
Here's the file I got when I right clicked up there on the old site and hit save background...

Well I must confess I was very disturbed last week when the S2pro.com page couldn't be found.
Although I don't post much, I always read a lot.
I'd like to congratulate Shawn for starting this very fine board and the light that it shed on many issues. I'd like to thank swampy for picking up the torch and lighting our way further.

Hi Alissa,
I recall that your sponded to a post of mine, then the forum went down before I had a chance to reply.
So thanks, it was encouraging to see the results you were getting with your follow focus, shots of your dog trials.
I've yet to try it.
Greetings to all who have made it back
