What's right / what's wrong?

I took this image and converted to monochrome. What else can I do to enhance it? Feel free to alter if you like and repost - just tell me what you did to make it better.

For this image, I split toned the above one and contrasted the sepia with a faint blue hue. How do you like? Can this be made better? Which do you prefer the above monochrome or something along these lines?

The hair static clinged to the pole bugs me. All the different versions look good though.

Kim, what did you do to the 2nd pic? I like that much better than my attempt. The balcks look blacker, contrast maybe? I tried pumping up the contrast but stopped when the whites started to blow out - looks at the column. But on yours it looks like you got around that.

The only thing is the Abercrombie and Fitch ads now have nudes in them and Swampy hasn't gotten that forum up and running yet.

The wind is to blame for the hair flyaway. I had some other shots where it was behaving, but other factors / expressions kept those at bay.

BTW, of all the shots and poses we took they liked this one the best and ordered a 16x20 (in color) as a Christmas gift for the parents. I like it as a B&W better though. The rest are on my website if interested.

Yeah, yeah. I've been in New Orleans all day. Can't a guy get a break? I took my wife and in-laws to see the Russian Ballet's Nutcracker. It was pretty cool.
