I just trimmed off 200 users from the list. They had not been on in over a year, so I figured, why have em here?!

I'm probably going to trim a second time to get rid of users that haven't been on in 6 months. Then we'll have a more accurate count above as to how many real users we have.

I'm afraid you'll end up with a few dozens left :)
And we'll get a good tradition of cheering every new 1,000th member every month or two :D:rofl:

Few dozen? Doubt it. We hit 300 users in a week with the "regulars" signing back in. I think we will end up with around 600-800 users after the 180 day prune.

Ok. I did the second pruning. And, I predicted pretty close. 792 users left. I even spared Brian's account somehow. Dunno why. The board just wouldn't let me delete him as many times as I hit the button. Just kept erroring out. ;)

Are you cutting folks who have not been here in 6 months and have zero posts? If you cut a guy who has posted, what happens to his posts? I'm just thinking, if his posts were cut too there might be some slim chance that some useful info would be lost too. Ya never know...
:stupid:

When users are "cut", thier posts remain as well as thier user name, however, they are taken out of the database as a countable user and thier status is reset to guest. So. No information lost. :)
